AIT – A Symbol of Pride

 Association for Information Technology – Bengaluru, is a 26 year old forum that represents over 450+ Life member Companies engaged in the businesses of IT Hardware – Distribution and Sub Distribution, IT Retail, IT System Integrators, IT Networking and Infrastructure Providers & Software Resellers. The Association’s core strength is its MEMBERS from the above diverse portfolios.

 Founded in 1996, AIT today is one of the most successful Trade bodies in the country. We at AIT conduct workshops, Seminars, IT Trade expositions, promote Social & Cultural programs for its members apart from liaising with Government Departments on taxation issues.

When businesses start flourishing post liberalization in 1994, the Taxmen will not be far behind. Thus we had the government imposing TOT on the sale of Computer hardware. AIT was formed with the single objective to fight TOT/RST. We are proud to say that due to AIT’s endeavours, a total tax savings to a tune of Rs. 100 Crores was enjoyed by the IT dealers of Karnataka. AIT went upto the Supreme Court to get relief for the entire IT fraternity. AIT has united all IT dealers and participated in deciding the factors relating to IT in the Karnataka Budget YoY. New problems may crop up now and then. Isn’t it better to be well prepared, equipped and united to face new challenges?
